Cycling: Team Katusha-Alpecin officially presented

Team Katusha-Alpecin has officially presented its new concept and team design, as well as its cyclists and sponsors in Spain. For Alpecin as the title sponsor, this means the start of a new cycling project with an international direction from January 2017.

In addition to sprinter Alexander Kristoff (NOR) and general classification rider Ilnur Zakarin (RUS), Tony Martin (GER), four-time world champion in time trials, was also presented to the public as a new captain.

26 racing cyclists from 14 nations will start for the Katusha-Alpecin team in the coming season.

Eduard R. Dörrenberg, the managing partner of the shampoo manufacturer, made it clear during the team presentation that cycling fits the Alpecin brand particularly well due to its attributes, such as performance, science and masculinity, as well as due to its increasing internationalisation as a sport.
